This item is solidly built and heavy duty. It is easy to assemble and clean. I will list my pros and cons below so as to make this review simple.
Pros:
Very well built
Solid and stable
Easy to figure out
Easy to assemble
Works as intended
Not too loud
Cons:
Small feed opening
Clogs easily
In my opinion, the pros completely outweigh the cons.
Regarding the cons:
The small feed opening is completely workable. You simply can't expect to take a bunch of whole vegetables and cram them all into an opening, it's just not realistic. I can't understand how some people reviewed this and expected to cram full size apples, carrots, etc into it and have it come out as juice. If that's what you are looking for, you should get a wood chipper. You do have to get off your lazy ass and chop your produce into workable portions to feed into the juicer. No big deal.
After feeding several items the inside screen area will begin to clog. I simply turn the machine off and pull the screen and clean it, then re assemble and keep going. Is it an extra step? Sure. If you are too lazy to work with this machine and do it right, you probably shouldn't be juicing anyway. Just give up and eat potato chips instead because if you're not willing to go the extra mile and use this properly, then just be fat and lazy. Either way, there is no such thing as a magical juicer. Whether you buy a centrifugal or masticating, it really doesn't matter because they both have their pros and cons and produce similar results. Some people say this one doesn't produce enough juice, or that one has too much pulp, or this one produces too much foam, or you get more vitamins out of this one or that one. I've never read so many reviews by so many juice experts. It's really nauseating. Just buy this juicer and start drinking nasty vegetable juice and be healthy. Or, just sit in front of your computer and read reviews by morons pretending to be juicer experts and keep eating potato chips and being fat.
But I'm an intermediate juicer now. After 8 years of using the Breville, I was craving more capabilities and refinement. The champion was my answer: you can make nut butter, sorbets, ice creams, and leafy greens and with certain attachments, you can even mill flours and juice wheatgrass.
The first thing I did when I opened the box was make strawberry and banana ice cream. I placed the right attachment (the solid piece, not the screen) into the unit. Boy, I had some marvelous ice cream, even on my very low calorie restrictive diet. (My whole bowl of ice cream equated to 137 calories.) I'm on a 400-500 calorie diet plan right now, so this juicer helped me have variety within a restrictive caloric environment. For dinner, I made grapefruit juice from 2 grapefruits. The Breville only yields 6 oz from 2 grapefruits, but the champion yields 9.4 oz! That's 66 calories vs. 104 calories! While I will have to recalculate my caloric yields with my new juicer, I'm stoked that I feel I'm saving money and limiting waste with this appliance. Also - I don't have strange foam at the top, just pure, smooth juice - and less gas!
Overall, if you are looking to restrict calories without restricting nutrients, juicing and raw foods are the best way to go, and this has replaced my two appliances in my kitchen: the Breville, and my kitchenaid stand mixer (no more baking for now). If anyone has a good champion recipe book they can recommend, I'd love to read it.

Hands down the best juicer on the market!
We hardly ever write reviews, but we invested so much time and effort agonizing over which juicer to get we thought an our review would be helpful to others. All we wanted was a juicer that would last the test of time and would really would make all the fancy awesome juices we buy on the streets of NYC.
Yes, this juicer is pricey. No, we weren't sure we would really use it enough to warrant the cost. Yes, we worried that owning a juicer would mean we'd have to buy more fruit and veggies and the cost of that would be more than just continuing to buy store made juices. Luckily, we were totally wrong. For less than $500 we got the most ingenious piece of machinery on the market that provided a real warranty.
We use this machine several times a month. This machine is so good we decided to stop buying store bought juices, salad dressings, ice pops, and tomato sauce. It sits right on our counter top taking up no room at all (and remember this is NYC; space is precious). Cleaning takes 5 seconds we do it by hand with a bottle brush and hot soapy water- nothing special. If you wash up right after use it literally cleans itself. It has been 2 years now, I could not imagine my kitchen without it.
Stop looking, this is the best juicer ever.
