To get orange juice- which Is cheaper option – ‘Using juicer ‘ or ‘buying a carton from shop’?

Source: Wikipedia
I have a juicer and would prefer to make a large bottle or carton of Orange Juice myself for obvious reasons, is it cheaper to buy it premade or juice it myself? I do get most of the juice when I use the juicer.
I have one of those Jack lalane power juicers, which makes juicing a BREEZE!
Does it cost a LOT more than buying premade?
And comments or suggestions??
Thanks!

Honestly, when navel oranges and citrus go on sale (Navel oranges are 69 cents a pound, here), I think it’s a good deal and squeeze my own – it also has more of the vitamins in-tact. You just really have to do the math.
2 juicy oranges make a little less than an eight ounce glass of juice. Typically it’s about 3-4 oranges to a glass. It’s about 3-4 oranges to a pound – so at 69 cents a glass, I would have to say the premade stuff is a better value… For a 64 ounce carton of juice, you would have to juice about 32-36 oranges based on size, if not a bit more.
Do you plan on juicing the rind and all?, if so, juice me….otherwise it seems such a waste of good oranges to just use the juice only without using the pulp etc.
Assuming you took into account the cost of the juicer (if it was a gift, then lucky you!), buying by the carton still works out cheaper unless you can find a source of cheap oranges. Juicing companies pay cents to the kilogram for oranges, and you will almost always pay more.
That said, I am yet to find a commercially produced juice that beats decent home squezzed, though many are pretty good now. The other advantage with home squeezed is you can add other ingredients (should you wish to) when squeezing, and you can control the amount of pulp.
I like to spend less too, but I ain’t that cheap! Buy a carton, it tastes MUCH better.
well tell you the truth it all depends on which brand of orange juice and where you buy it.but i herd that it is alot healthier to sqeezy the oranges yourself plus i herd it is much better tasting
Simple Answer: Buy a Carton
